Shepparton Equine is independently owned and run by veterinarians. Our small team of highly experienced vets and vet nurses offer a truly personal service ensuring dedicated care for you and your horse.

Dr Robert Kent
BVSc MANZCVS (Equine Surgery)
Principal Veterinarian
Rob is a 2008 graduate from the University of Sydney. Following 18 months in mixed veterinary practice in SE Qld, he undertook an equine surgical internship at Scone Equine Hospital before progressing into equine ambulatory/ reproduction practice for several
southern and northern hemisphere breeding seasons.
For 5 years after that Rob worked as a racetrack veterinarian in Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula in some of Victoria's premier racehorse stables. From 2018, Rob undertook a surgical residency (advanced surgical training program) with Dr Jim Vasey at Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital, developing his surgical, poor performance and lameness skills. Rob concluded his time at GVEH in 2023 and set up Shepparton Equine Veterinary Service.

Rob is an EVA, AVA & AAEP member, is Australian stud book accredited veterinarian and is a member of the Australian & New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists (ANZCVS) in Equine Surgery. With three gorgeous daughters, an equine medicine specialist wife and a busy vet practice, there is never a dull moment!

Dr Stacey Sullivan
BVSc MVS MPhil FANZCVS (Equine Medicine) Diplomate ECEIM
Growing up on a property in Central Queensland, Stacey always wanted to be a vet - she was lucky enough to make this happen, graduating with a Bachelor of Veterinary Science from the University of Queensland in 2004.
Stacey’s professional career spans more than two decades in leading equine referral practice in Queensland (Oakey Veterinary Hospital), the United Kingdom (Rossdales), and Victoria (Goulburn Valley Equine Hospital & Avenel Equine Hospital). Her specialist training was undertaken at the University of Melbourne Equine Centre from 2011-2014. Stacey holds two master’s degrees: a Master of Philosophy (research) in Exercise-Induced Pulmonary Haemorrhage in Thoroughbred and Standardbred Racehorses and a Clinical Master of Veterinary Science (MVS). Stacey is Australian Fellow and European Diplomate in Equine Internal Medicine.
Stacey is an active member on the ANZCVS Equine Chapter executive and also contributes to the profession as an examiner at both membership & fellowship level. Stacey also served for several years on the Veterinary Practitioners Registration Board of Victoria.
Stacey's areas of expertise include foal intensive care, ophthalmology, cardiology and poor performance. With most of her professional career as a medicine specialist undertaken in Victoria and the Goulburn Valley, Stacey will be familiar to many of our regular clients.

Casey-lee Collins
Equine Veterinary Nurse
Casey joins the practice as an experienced equine nurse. With a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and over 12 years' experience working in equine, companion animal and emergency veterinary clinics across Victoria, we are delighted to have her around! Casey cares for our hospitalised patients, keeps the ship running and assists Rob on his ambulatory calls.
